"In the Mood" Coming to Westminster College

The Westminster College Celebrity Series announces the coming of "In the Mood" Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

"In the Mood" features the sensational sound of the 15-piece String of Pearls big band orchestra, as well as Mood singers and dancers. This musical review of the 1940s takes the audience back to the up-tempo big band instrumentals, and the intimate, romantic ballads that set the mood for a future filled with promise, hope, and prosperity.

"This was a time when all America was listening and dancing to the same kind of music," said Gene DeCaprio, director of the Celebrity Series at Westminster College. "No one should miss this toe-tapping nostalgic music."
