A group of senior art students are presenting select pieces from their capstone portfolios beginning April 3 and lasting through the first week of May in Patterson Hall's Foster Art Gallery. A reception will be held April 6 from 4:30 - 6 p.m. and is open and free to the public.

The Senior Art Show features the works of both fine art and media art students. Capstone is a senior-level course within the major designed to provide an opportunity for students to work independently with Westminster fine art and media art faculty to assess their cumulative body of work and make appropriate adjustments to prepare a professional art or media art portfolio.

“Art comes in all shapes and sizes, and this gallery show represents all the hard work the students have put in through their time at Westminster,” says Kandice Hartner, adjunct faculty for Media Art + Design.

The showcase features David Austin, William Austin, Jacqui Holiday, Jordyn Kee, Stephanie Lesnak, Emiley Lindsey, Mark Salamon, Jackie Schultz and Doltyn Snedden.

David Austin, a senior media art + design major, is a son of Cara Austin and a graduate of Farrell Area High School.
