Westminster College to Host Spring Choir Concerts, April 22 and 24

Westminster College will host two upcoming spring choir concerts in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The events are free and open to the public.

At 7:30 p.m.Friday, April 22, the Men's and Women's Choirs will present repertoire spanning through the Baroque to the Modern Era.

Highlights include an arrangement of the famous Korean Folk Song, Ahrirang, "Memory" from Cats, Aaron Copland's "The Dodger."

At 3 p.m.Sunday, April 24, the Chamber Singers and Concert Choir will perform repertoire spanning the Renaissance to the Modern Era in preparation for their upcoming International Tour through Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.

Highlights include excerpts from Vivaldi’s “Gloria,” “Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine” by Eric Whitacre, and enchanting arrangements of Dolly Parton’s “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” and “Pure Imagination” from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
