Westminster College offers students several stress management solutions during finals week.
The week starts with Cram Jam Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 9-10:30 p.m. in Galbreath Dining Hall. Sodexho Campus Services, President R. Thomas Williamson, his wife, Jean, Dr. Jesse Mann, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College, and several academic department chairs will serve up a late evening free breakfast to the students.
"It's a way to break up the stress of studying," Mann said. "I also gives students and faculty an opportunity to interact on a more personal level."
The Student Health Center offers neck messages by message therapist Joyce Houck and one of her associates Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 9 and 10, from noon-3 p.m. Other relaxation activities include the use of relaxation and guided imagery tapes, and a heated message chair in the relaxation room.
The new McKelvey Campus Center Club Room is also a place for students to come and relax, enjoy a game of darts or pool, or just a quiet place to study, while enjoying refreshments. It will be open Dec. 9-12, Tuesday-Friday, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
