USA Today reports that Westminster College was ranked #7 in the nation offering the “Best Value for the Money,” according to College Factual.
Headquartered in New York, College Factual is a leading education technology company and provider of data-driven, value-based college rankings. Centered on a mission to “help every student get their best fit education for less,” College Factual rated colleges on their net price matched with educational value.
College Factual also considers Westminster College number three in the Middle Atlantic and number one in Pennsylvania in the “Best Colleges for the Money” category. They rate the following factors in their national analysis: average yearly cost, average years to graduate, average total degree cost, and overall quality ranking.
“We can talk about our genuine top-quality education matched with generous financial aid packages – but it’s an honor to be recognized by a third party source for the value of education we truly walk in,” said Dr. Thomas H. Stein, vice president for enrollment and marketing. “When students graduate from Westminster, I’m confident that they’ll recall their rich gift of education – with an affordable price tag provided by our donors, scholarships, and financial aid.”
In the ranking, Westminster was positively recognized for its high first year retention rates, low student loan defaults, high on-time graduation rates, optimistic starting salary after graduation, low crime rates, and high educational value.
According to College Factual, Westminster is “underpriced compared to its peers.”
“When we decided to publish our Best Colleges Rankings, we vowed not to do so unless we thought ours would add something to the overall discussion on college selection,” according to the College Factual website.
