Westminster Student to Perform Piano Recital

Sheila Barnhart, a Westminster College sophomore music performance major, will present a piano recital Monday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m.

 Her program includes "Sonata in E-flat Major, Hob. XVI/52" by Franz Joseph Haydn, "Nocturne in C Minor, Op. 48 No. 1" by Frederic Chopin, and "Sonata in A Minor, Op. 28" by Sergei Prokofiev.

 Barnhart is a daughter of Rick and Darleen Barnhart, New Freeport, and a graduate of West Green High School.  She is a member of the Westminster Women's Chorus, and will joint the Westminster Concert Choir in the spring.  She has participated in the Titan Marching Band and the pit orchestras from "Kiss Me Kate" and "Carmen."  Barnhart is also a teacher for the Westminster College Intern Teaching Program.  She actively participates in chamber music on campus and accompanies regularly.
