Theatre Westminster to Present "Beauty Queen of Leenane"

Posted on Friday, February 10, 2012

Theatre Westminster will present Martin McDonagh's Beauty Queen of Leenane Feb. 23-26 in Beeghly Theater.

Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, Beauty Queen tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman in her early 40s, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen's first, and possibly final, chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a chain of events that leads inexorably toward the play's terrifying dénouement.

Curtain time Thursday-Saturday is 7:30 p.m.; Sunday's matinee is at 2:30 p.m.  Reservations can be made online by following the "ticket reserve" link or by calling the Box Office at (724) 946-7241.  Prices for general admission adults are $10, and senior citizens and non-Westminster students are $7.
