Westminster College's Celebrity Series announced its 2011-2012 season, which includes concerts by Debby Boone and John Tesh.

An Evening with Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, sponsored by Huntington Bank, will kick off the season Saturday, Sept. 24.  The popular stars of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" will present an evening of extraordinary improvisational comedy.

Debby Boone: Reflections of Rosemary, sponsored by First National Bank, comes to the Orr stage Thursday, Oct. 20.  Best known for her hit "You Light up My Life," Boone will pay musical tribute to her late mother-in-law, the legendary Rosemary Clooney.

John Tesh's Big Band Christmas, sponsored by Giant Eagle, is on tap for Friday, Dec. 16.  The six-time Emmy winner and Grammy nominee will capture the Christmas spirit with a 12-piece band and favorite carols arranged with a nostalgic Big Band feel.

The Texas Tenors, finalists on "America's Got Talent," bring their classically-trained voices to the stage Saturday, March 24, 2012.  The trio, sponsored by Springfield Restaurant Group, will cover the musical spectrum from John Denver to Puccini in a unique blend of gospel, country, classical, and Broadway.

Ricky Nelson Remembered will wrap up the season Friday, April 27, 2012.  Starring Nelson's twin sons Matthew and Gunnar in a tribute to their father, the show is sponsored by Jameson Health System.  The multi-media event includes video footage with interviews from celebrities influenced by Nelson, America's first TV heartthrob.

All shows are at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.  Season subscriptions are currently on sale and single-show tickets may be pre-ordered.

A special children's show, The Golden Dragon Acrobats, is slated for Wednesday, May 9, 2012, and is not part of the season subscription.  Recognized as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company, the Golden Dragons combine award-winning acrobatics, traditional dance, spectacular costumes, ancient and contemporary music, and theatrical techniques for an unforgettable performance.  Sponsors for this program include Dr. Richard Ribarevski, D.M.D.; Family Medical Care of Lawrence County's Dr. James L. Gardner III, M.D., Dr. Mary Tanyel, M.D., and Peggy McAnlis, C.R.N.P.; and PCT Health Network, Inc.
