Dr. R. Tad Greig, Westminster College associate professor and director of bands, will be the guest conductor for the Beaver County High School Honors Band Nov. 17-18.

Greig is an alumnus of Beaver Falls High School, where the event will be hosted by the school's band director, Leonard Cersosimo.

The Honors Band is 110 students chosen by their respective band directors from 14 school districts in Beaver County. They will rehearse with Greig for the two days of the festival, culminating in a public concert Thursday at 7 p.m. in the middle school auditorium.

"It is always an honor and a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with our area's finest musicians," Greig said.

Greig, who serves as chair of Westminster's Department of Music, joined the faculty in 1995. He earned an undergraduate degree from Grove City College, a master's from Youngstown State University, and Ph.D. from Kent State University.
