The Westminster College Student Alumni Association (SAA) will sponsor Connections in Broadcast Communications Speed Networking Tuesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is open to all students, regardless of major.
Westminster alumni employed in the broadcast communications field will host networking tables. When the bell rings, students will move to the next table, make another alumni contact, ask questions, and learn from experienced alumni.
Alumni participants include:
- Scott Briggs '77, vice president of broadcast operations with WBUT and WISR in Butler
- Amy Gustavson Garland '98, news producer with New Vision Television, WKBN, WYTV, and WYFX in Youngstown, Ohio
- Jonathan Joy '03, graduate student in Mass Media Arts
- John Mikulas '96, photojournalist with WFMJ-TV21 in Youngtown, Ohio
- Jennifer Roccia Moreau '96, director of marketing and communications with FSN Pittsburgh
- Craig Rechichar '04, operations supervisor with PNC Bank and on-site manager with the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network
- Tony Ruffolo '85, photographer with WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh
SAA President Alison Paden, a senior music education major, will open the evening with a welcome address. Paden is a daughter of Jerry and Judith Paden of Brookville and a graduate of Brookville Area High School.
Westminster College Career Center Director Jackie Meade M'86 and Alumni Relations Director Mary Cooley James '84 will speak to the group. The evening will conclude with a dessert reception and informal networking.
