The Westminster College Festival Chorus will perform with the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra Saturday, March 27, at 8 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Warren, Ohio.

The Festival Chorus is a combination of the Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus, and Concert Choir. Dr. Robin Lind, Westminster associate professor and director of choral activities, conducts the Men's Chorus and Concert Choir. Mr. Kris Harper, Westminster adjunct music faculty, directs the Women's Chorus. Lind and Harper will be singing with the students.

The choirs will be performing two selections with the orchestra, conducted by Susan Davenny Wyner: Bach's Cantata 191 "Gloria in Excelsis Deo," featuring senior music education major Deanna Owens and Westminster adjunct music faculty William Ambert in a soprano and tenor duet; and Steffe-Wilhousky's arrangement of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."

"This is the third time we have been invited to collaborate with this orchestra to perform a large work," Lind said. "It is always a rewarding and exciting experience."

Other pieces that will be performed by the orchestra include works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and a salute to Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Tickets are available by calling (330) 399-3606.
