Posted on Tuesday, March 24, 2009

Two Westminster College music performance majors will perform for a master class Sunday, March 29, at Youngstown State University.

Karen Biddle is a daughter of Richard and Cheryl Biddle of Silver Spring, Md., and a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School.

Kimberly Hasara is a daughter of James and Karen Hasara of Pittsburgh and a graduate of Avonworth High School.

They will perform with guest clinician Dr. Robert McIver of the Eastman School of Music.

The students were invited to participate in the master class as a result of earning first place in their respective categories at the Tri-State National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition in November.

Both students are from the voice studio of Dr. Anne Hagan Bentz, Westminster associate professor of music.

Contact Bentz at (724) 946-6045 or e-mail bentzah@westminster.edu for additional information.
