Posted on Friday, October 17, 2008

Westminster College will celebrate International Audio Visual Week, Oct. 19-25, with a series of campus events.

Westminster College Director of Audio-Visual Services Gary Swanson said, "The audio-visual industry-a $75 billion industry worldwide-is an integral part of information communications technology that includes new media, projectors, high definition TVs, digital signage, and remote video; video and collaborative conferencing; interactive display, systems integration, and security systems. The industry's scope also includes presentation professionals, and lighting and staging for corporate events, entertainment, sports, and concerts. We applaud our colleagues around the globe, and will pause this week to spotlight AV technologies, services, and the impact they have on our everyday lives."

During AV Week, a host of companies and organizations around the world will celebrate with special events at schools, job fairs, and community outreach activities. To learn more about the AV industry, visit www.infocomm.org.
