Westminster College Promotes 14 Faculty

Fourteen Westminster College faculty recently received promotions.

Dr. Bryan S. Rennie was promoted to professor of religion. He is chair of the Department of Religion, History, Philosophy and Classics and holds the Vira I. Heinz Chair in Religion. He has been with Westminster since 1992. He earned his undergraduate and master's degrees and Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Dr. Ann E. Throckmorton was promoted to professor of biology. She earned undergraduate degrees from Hastings College, master's degree from Fort Hays State University, and Ph.D. from Florida State University. She has been with Westminster since 1990. Dr. David C. Twining was promoted to professor of history. He earned his undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster, master's degree from the University of Virginia, and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Jeffrey T. Bersett was promoted to associate professor of Spanish. Chair of the Department of Modern Languages and director of Off-Campus Study, he has been with Westminster since 2002. Dr. Amy Camardese was promoted to associate professor of education. She earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University, master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and Ph.D. from Kent State University. She has been with Westminster since 2001. Dr. Timothy Cuff was promoted to associate professor of history. He earned an undergraduate degree from Westminster College, master's degree from Bowling Green State University, and master's and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. David W. Goldberg was promoted to associate professor of philosophy. He earned his undergraduate and master's degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and Ph.D. from Duquesne University. Dr. Patrick D. Krantz was promoted to associate professor of education. He has been with Westminster since 2002 and is co-director of Westminster's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. He earned an undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, master's degree from Northwest Missouri State University, and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Scott A. Mackenzie was promoted to associate professor of theatre. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, master's degree from Michigan State University, and Ph.D. from Wayne State University. Dr. Shahroukh Mistry was promoted to associate professor of biology. He earned undergraduate and master's degrees from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India; master's degree from the University of Tennessee; and Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico.
