Music Professor Accompanied Benefit Concert

Dr. Elizabeth Harrison, Westminster College assistant professor of music, recently performed a concert to benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society that raised over $2,000. The concert took place April 15 at the First United Methodist Church in Sharon.

"I played several piano accompaniments, such as Paul Reade's Suite from The Victorian Kitchen Garden with Becky DeLorenzo on the clarinet, and Francis Poulenc's Sonata for Clarinet and Piano with Liz Matesich on the clarinet."

Harrison, who has been with Westminster College since 2000, earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University, her masters' from Southern College and the New England Conservatory, and her D.M.A. from Stanford University.
