Dr. Edward Cohen, Westminster College associate professor of political science, recently presented his research at the Meeting of the Standing Group on Regulatory Governance of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) held at the University of Bath, England.

"The title of my paper is From Sources to Impact: Contracts, Dispute Resolution Systems and Governance in a World of Legal and Regulatory Pluralism,'" Cohen said. "My research interest focuses on the role of international law in the process of globalization. It explores the role of private contracting practices in shaping the rules and norms by which the global economy is regulated."

Cohen, who is chair of the Department of Political Science and Sociology and Law PAC chair, has been with Westminster College since 1996. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College, and master's and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
