Westminster College's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is hosting "Databased Decision Making" Thursday, Oct. 5, from 4-6 p.m. in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center.

This program includes information about what school leaders need to know and do to ensure that available data is used to improve student learning. The program will explore what data should be collected; how should data be used; who should be involved; and other questions in an effort to provide the best possible education for all students.

Districts are encouraged to send teams consisting of the superintendent, building administrators, support staff, and teachers. There is no limit to the size of the team, but the superintended should be included as a member of the team.

The Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning was developed to advance world-class teaching at Westminster and enrich K-12 education through outreach programs for area educators.

The seminar offers two hours of CPE credit. Fax reservations to Carol Fiumara at (412) 648-7185 or mail requests to Fiumara at 4302 Posvar Hall, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA 15260. Applications can also be e-mailed to wmcnlis@pitt.edu.
