Westminster College Adds Ten New Full-Time Faculty and Promotes Seven Previous Staff Members

Westminster College recently added ten new full-time faculty members.

Dr. David O. Cushman, professor of economics and chair of the economics and business department, earned his undergraduate degree from Stetson University and his master's and doctorate from Vanderbilt University. He was a visiting professor and acting chair at Westminster last year and has additional teaching experience from the University of Saskatchewan, the University of New Orleans, and the University of South Florida. Dr. Marosh Furimsky, assistant professor of biology, earned his undergraduate degree and his doctorate from the University of Ottawa. He comes to Westminster from the Department of Molecular Medicine of the Ottawa Heath Research Institute. He has taught at the University of Ottawa and the University of British Columbia-Okanagan. He has also been a visiting scientist at the University of Liverpool's School of Biological Sciences. He can be reached at 724-946-7207.

Teresa Johnson-Evans, visiting lecturer of French, earned her undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania and her master's from West Virginia University. She expects to complete her doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh this summer. She has taught at West Virginia University, the Community College of Allegheny County, and the University of Pittsburgh. She was also an English assistant at Lycée Jean Monnet in Vitrolles, France. Dr. Brian W. Kail, instructor of chemistry, earned his undergraduate, master's, and doctorate degrees from Duquesne University. He comes to Westminster after working in several

Dr. Jacque L. King, visiting assistant professor of economics and business, earned his undergraduate degree at Washington and Jefferson College and his master's and doctorate degrees from Regent University. He has past experience in the positions of doctor of strategic leadership program director and administrator, advisor, and assistant professor at Regent University. Dr. Angela M. Lahr, visiting assistant professor of history, earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville and her master's and doctorate from the Northern Illinois University. Jonathan Moser, instructor of music, earned his undergraduate degrees from Harid Conservatory, the University of the Pacific, and Shenandoah University. He received his master's from Arizona State University. He was a visiting lecturer at Westminster last year. Moser has further experience from Providence Presbyterian Church, where he was the director of Music Ministries; Grove City College, where he was a violin/viola instructor; and Moser Violin Studio, where he was a violin/viola instructor. Dr. Sherri P. Pataki, assistant professor of psychology, earned her undergraduate degree at Allegheny College and her doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University. Pataki was a visiting assistant professor at Westminster last year. She has taught at Seton Hill College and Carnegie Mellon University, where she was also a project director for the department of psychology. Dr. Pamela A. Richardson, assistant professor of mathematics, earned her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and her doctorate from the University of Virginia. Dr. Matthew W. Sivils, assistant professor of English, earned his undergraduate degree from Arkansas Tech University and his master's and doctorate from Oklahoma State University. He comes to Westminster after teaching at Oklahoma State University. He is a member of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (ASLE), the American Studies Association (ASA), and the Modern Language Association (MLA). Several Westminster faculty have received promotions.

Linda Domanski has been promoted to Associate Professor of Education. She has been with Westminster since 1996. Domanski, who was previously an Assistant Professor of Education, received her undergraduate and master's degrees from Slippery Rock University and her doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. Charlene Klassen Endrizzi has been promoted to Professor of Education. She has been with Westminster since 1993. Endrizzi, who was previously an Associate Professor of Education, earned her undergraduate and master's degrees from Fresno Pacific College and her doctorate from the University of Arizona. Terri L. Lenox has been promoted to Associate Professor of Computer Science and has been granted tenure. She has been with Westminster since 1999. Lenox, who was previously an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, earned her undergraduate degree from Grove City College and her master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. Robin Lind has been promoted to Associate Professor of Music and has been granted tenure. She has been with Westminster since 2000. Lind, who was previously an Assistant Professor of Music, earned her undergraduate degree from Albertson's College of Idaho, her master's from the University of Oregon, and her doctorate from the University of Utah. Kang-Yup Na has been promoted to Associate Professor of Religion and has been granted tenure. He has been with Westminster since 1998. Na, who was previously an Assistant Professor of Religion, received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, his master's from Princeton Theological Seminary, and his doctorate from Emory University.
