Westminster College TV and Radio Stations Choose Newsroom Personnel

The Westminster College television and radio stations have chosen the newsroom personnel for the Westminster College Cable Network and radio station

"The choice of the positions are based on their experience and involvement in the program," said Bradley Weaver, instructor of broadcast communications at Westminster College,

The newsroom for the radio station will be moved to the third floor of the Andrew J. McKelvey Campus Center set to open in the fall, and the newsroom for the Westminster Cable Network will be moved to combine stations at a later date.

"Combining the radio and television newsroom will allow us to pool resources and communicate better," said Weaver.  "We hope to explore creating a broadcast news website for both the radio and television stations.  We want to get our students involved in media synergy and writing and producing media content from television, radio and the web.

Pat Sandora has been chosen as news director and on the road correspondent and producer.   Sandora, a sophomore broadcast communications major, is a son of George and Kathy Sandora, 212 Hummingbird Hill, Cranberry Township, and a graduate of Seneca Valley High School.

Laura Krutschnitt has been appointed assistant news director.  Krutschnitt, a sophomore broadcast communications major, is a daughter of Peter and Mary Krutschnitt, 3814 Skyview Drive, Brunswick, Ohio, and a graduate of Brunswick High School.

Sebastian Driver-Salazar has been chosen sports anchor/producer and radio news anchor.  Driver-Salazar, a sophomore broadcast communications major, is a son of Dan and Milagros Driver, 10307 Dickens Ave., Bethesda, Md., and a graduate of Walter Johnson High School.

Crystal Schumacher has been appointed interview segment producer and host.  Schumacher, a junior broadcast communications and history major, is a daughter of Margaret Schumacher, 28 Walton Road, Pittsburgh, and a graduate of Baldwin High School.
 

Sarah Bowers, Megan Marshall, Julie Stolze, and Ian Brown have been chosen radio and television anchor/reporter.    Bowers, a junior broadcast communications major, is a daughter of Gregg and Kathleen Bowers, 1418 Walnut St., Pittsburgh, and a graduate of Serra District Catholic High School.  Marshall, a sophomore broadcast communications major, is a daughter of William and Joanne Marshall, 307 Holly Hill Drive, Pittsburgh, and a graduate of North Hills High School.  Stolze, a sophomore broadcast communications and speech major, is a daughter of James and Annette Stolze, 2424 Bonnie Dell Drive, South Park, and a graduate of South Park High School.  Brown, a junior broadcast communications major from Zelienople, is a son a R. Scott Brown, 200 Terrace Ave., and Carrie Brown, Portersville.  He is a graduate of Seneca Valley High School.

Julie Stolze and Tandi Lane have been appointed on the road correspondents and producers.  Lane, a sophomore  broadcast communications major, is a daughter of Kari Lane, 193B Pollock Drive, Gibsonia, and Michael Lane, Gibsonia.  She is a graduate of Pine-Richland High School.
