Dawn M. Chapman has been hired as an admissions counselor whose specialty is recruiting minority students to Westminster College.

"Westminster has strived to increase diversity on campus, and we've made progress with a 30 percent increase in minority enrollment," said Doug Swartz, dean of admissions and enrollment management. "We look forward to Dawn joining our team and providing even more special attention to prospective students from diverse backgrounds."

Chapman comes to Westminster from the Pittsburgh area, where she was a customer service representative with Verizon Wireless. She also worked for the United State Air Force, where she conducted classification interviews.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Grove City College, and her master's from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Originally from the Sharon area, Chapman likes to spend time with her family, read and write poetry, and take photos. She resides with her brother in Pittsburgh.
