Westminster College to Host "A Little Bug Music" Aug 5-6

Westminster College will host "A Little Bug Music," a children's opera, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 5-6 at 2:30 p.m. in the Berlin Student Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center.

Performers include soprano Anne Bentz, soprano Michelle Howard, tenor William Ambert, pianist David Chapman and the child artists of the Arts/Music Workshop held at Westminster College.

The performance is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Call (724) 946-6097 or stop by the fourth annual New Wilmington Community Arts and Heritage Festival after Aug. 4.

"Tickets are going fast," said Bentz. "Get your tickets before the swarm."

The event and workshop is sponsored by the Westminster College Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and The Grable Foundation.

The Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning was created to enrich undergraduate education at Westminster through advancing world-class teaching as well as by participating in collaborations that address community and regional needs including strengthening K-12 education.
