Westminster College Faculty Report on "Teaching Students with Disabilities"

Posted on Friday, September 6, 2002

Amy Camardese, instructor of education at Westminster College, will present "Teaching Students with Disabilities" at Faculty Forum, Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 11:30 a.m. in Patterson Hall room 311.

Camardese worked on this presentation with the help of Joyce Hoellein, coordinator of K-12 Collaborative Program and part-time education instructor, and Dr. Neal Edman, dean of student affairs.

"Our topic deals with what is a reasonable accommodation,'" said Camardese. "Information regarding the laws will be shared, and vignettes will be preformed to illustrate teaching situations that may occur regarding reasonable accommodations."

Camardese, who joined Westminster in 2001, earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University, and her M.Ed from the University of Pittsburgh.
