Westminster Professor to Present Electronic Grading Tips

Posted on Tuesday, September 17, 2002

Dr. Bryan Rennie, associate professor of religion and philosophy at Westminster College, will present Faculty Forum Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 11:30 p.m. in Patterson Hall room 311.

Rennie's presentation, "Grading Papers On-Line: Some Tricks of the Trade," is intended to share information with educators who have not had the time or the opportunity to develop the necessary strategies of grading written essays on line.

"I'm simply going to introduce some of the devices and strategies that I have developed over the past five years or so that have made it easier for me to grade papers on my computer without ever printing them out," said Rennie. "I will also share other useful maneuvers that I have developed or discovered in the use of information technology in my classes."

Rennie, who has been with Westminster College since 1994, earned his undergraduate, master's and Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
