Seven Westminster College students earned chairs in the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band, and two were also selected to play in the National Intercollegiate Honors Band.

Senior Rebecca Hall-Baldwin and junior Allyson Parks will perform in the National Intercollegiate Honors Band as part of the Collegiate Band Directors National Association Convention at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, Feb. 20-24.

At Westminster, Hall-Baldwin and Parks are members of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Brass and Woodwind Quintets, which are under the baton of R. Tad Greig, director of bands. Both have been honored as three-year members of the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Honors Band.

Performing under the baton of Alan McMurry, director of bands at the University of Colorado, the band will play "Songs without Words," "My Jesus, What Anguish," and "An American Elegy."

Hall-Baldwin and Parks will join Douglas Black, Dan DiDesiderio, Melissa Fye, Theodore Merklin, and David Zaccari in the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band concert March 9-11 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg.

The program for this performance include "Southern Harmony," "Shenandoah," "Children's March," "Chester Leaps In," and "Tears."
