Tempus Fugit, one of the most sought-after chamber ensembles, will perform at Westminster College, Wednesday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

The group has performed throughout the United States, Germany, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Estonia. The quintet includes Brett Dietz, a percussion instructor at Westminster College, P.J. Gatch, Shawn Galvin, R.J. Heid, and Dennis Hoffman.

The quintet's extensive repertoire includes standard percussion ensemble literature, original compositions and commissions, ethnic music, arrangements of jazz standards and transcripts of orchestral literature.

Tempus Fugit's self-titled compact disc was released in 1998, and the quintet can also be heard on several recordings in collaboration with the Duquesne University Chamber Singers.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Westminster College Department of Music at (724) 946-7270.
