Westminster College Celebrity Series will host The New York Tenors at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in the Will W. Orr Auditorium on the Westminster College campus.

Audience members can experience memorable music, moments and the magic of New York through the vocal artistry of Andy Cooney, Daniel Rodriguez and Christopher Macchio.

Cooney, christened by the New York Times as “Irish America’s favorite son,” has shared his unique tenor voice across the globe, including Dublin’s National Concert Hall and sold-out performances in New York’s iconic Carnegie Hall. Rodriguez, a retired police officer, captured the attention of Americans everywhere when his amazing voice soothed the nation’s grief in the days following the Sept. 11 attacks. New York native Macchio is a classically trained tenor from the Manhattan School of Music and has been wowing audiences by combining a golden-era sound with his engaging stage presence for years.

Celebrity Series will offer two complimentary tickets to police officers, EMTs, firefighters and all first responders who wish to attend.

“Our first responders sacrifice so much for the safety and well-being of our country and community and we hope this small act of thanksgiving helps show our sincere appreciation and gratitude,” said Connie McGinnis, Celebrity Series director.

To reserve complimentary tickets, please call Georgene Gib, box office manager, at 724-946-7354. Complimentary tickets cannot be reserved online. General tickets can also be obtained by calling the box office at 724-946-7354 or by visiting www.westminster.edu/celebrity.
