Westminster Academic Success Center director earns national certification

Jessica Shelenberger, the director of Westminster College’s Academic Success Center, was recognized by the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA), an organization of dedicated professionals promoting excellence amongst learning center personnel.

Shelenberger earned the NCLCA’s level 2 Learning Center Leadership Certification (LCLC) on May 8, adding her name to a list of around 150 other professionals certified at that level nationwide. 

The LCLC provides individual learning assistance professionals with a nationally recognized credential and set of standards that fosters their future growth and development. 

Shelenberger, who has led the Academic Success Center since its establishment in 2018, was also recently named to The Learning Assistance Review’s editorial board. The Learning Assistance Review is the official publication of the NCLCA. 

Shelenberger also serves as the marketing and communication officer for the Heartland College Learning Center Association, a regional affiliate of the NCLCA.
