Baylee Horvath, a Westminster College senior from Murrysville, Pa., was recently honored with the 2022 Community Service Award during the Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) on April 22.
Joining past Westminster Titan who have earned recognition at the conference, Horvath is a triple major in sports management, business administration and marketing and professional sales, as well as an all-conference performer in both women’s golf and the swimming and diving teams.
“Baylee is a tremendous student that truly has the respect of her peers and faculty,” said Dr. Robert Zullo, associate professor in the School of Business and program coordinator for the sports management major. “She is a thankless leader and tireless worker in so many facets of the campus and general community.”
Horvath is also the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and the Sports Promotion Club to increase school spirit. She is also a Titan Guide and holds a practicum position with the Alumni Association.
“I had the pleasure of hosting Baylee in her practicum and I truly treasured her warm, approachable personality coupled with an unrivaled dedication to the task at hand,” stated Kara Montgomery, senior director of alumni engagement and Horvath’s practicum advisor.
During the summer months Horvath will be interning in Phoenix with Amazon before returning to Westminster for her senior year.
