The Westminster College Wind Ensemble will present its fall concert Friday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

Under the direction of R. Tad Greig, this select group of 42 musicians will perform such works at "Gandalf" from the Lord of the Rings by Johan de Meij, "George Washington Bridge" by William Schuman, "National Emblem March" by E.E. Bagley, and "Sextet in B-Flat Major" by Ludwig Thuille.

The second half of the concert will include holiday music including "Westminster Carol" by James Hosay, "Christmas Variants" by Elliot Del Borgo, and "Russian Christmas Music" by Alfred Reed.

"This ensemble performs pinnacle works from the standard and contemporary wind composers," said Greig. "This concert also allows the instrumental ensembles an opportunity to share in some wonderful seasonal music."

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Greig at (724) 946-7279 or e-mail greigrt@westminster.edu.
