Diana M. Reed, M.A.T. Elementary and Early Childhood Education
313 Old Main
My background is in early childhood education and I have been a lecturer in the Education Department since 2012. Prior to this position I had 22 years of experience as the Head Teacher of the Psychology Department's Preschool Lab. I have had varied teaching positions from preschool to fourth grade at the Universtiy of Pittsburgh's Falk Laboratory School, the Winchester-Thurston School in Pittsburgh, Wilmington Area School District and the Michael Reese Hospital Childcare Program in Chicago.
I am excited about sharing my enthusiasm for early childhood with the exceptional young men and women of Westminster College. I have presented with colleagues for local PAEYC (Pittsburgh) conferences, PaCIE (Pennsylvania Council for International Education) and other early childhood training workshops. Research interests include wordless book study and implications of technology in the early childhood setting.
