About Me


Dr. Sherri Pataki received her PhD in social psychology from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.  She received a B.S. from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.    

      
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Dr. Pataki joined the faculty of Westminster College as a Visiting Professor of Psychology in 2004.   In 2006, she was promoted to Assistant Professor of Psychology and coordinator of the Peace Studies Program.   In 2012, she was promoted to Associate Professor of Psychology.  She currently teaches:  Psychology of Prejudice, Psychology of Women, Personality, Research Methods and Analysis, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to the Liberal Arts, an Advanced Peace Studies Seminar, and Senior Studies Research Seminars.

Dr. Pataki is the 2007 recipient of the Mary Roth Walsh Teaching the Psychology of Women Award presented by Division 35 of the American Psychological Association for curricular innovation related to diversity.
