About Me

Dr. Robin A. Lind is an Associate Professor and the Director of Choral Activities at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, where she conducts the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Women’s Chorus and Men's Chorus. She coordinates the Choral Music Education program, teaches Choral Conducting, Choral Literature, and voice lessons and co-supervises student teachers.  She is active as a clinician, adjudicator, and guest conductor for choral and solo/ensemble festivals.

Prior to her appointment at Westminster she taught at Western State College in Colorado, Salt Lake Community College, the University of Utah, and Lane Community College in Oregon. Choirs under Dr. Lind’s direction have toured Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Austria and the United States. Dr. Lind is advisor to the Westminster College Pennsylvania Student Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and co-faculty advisor to the Westminster College Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association.

Her research interests include: choral and vocal pedagogy, choral music education, choral conducting, and the effects of gender as it relates to singing and choral ensembles.

Dr. Lind received her Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Utah, her MM in Vocal Performance from the University of Oregon, and her BA in Music Education from the College of Idaho. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the ACDA of Pennsylvania, the Music Educators National Conference, the Pennsylvania Music Education Association, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. 

She resides in New Castle with her husband Ralph Peters.
