Women's Soccer: Titans Settle For 1-1 Draw Against Waynesburg

WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team tied Waynesburg, 1-1 in double overtime, in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Wednesday. The Titans moved to 9-5-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the PAC, while the Yellow Jackets went to 6-7-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference.

Waynesburg out-shot Westminster 25-9, however Titan sophomore Rachael Letscher (Canfield, OH / Cardinal Mooney) kept Westminster in the game as she had a career-night with a game- and career-high 11 saves in a complete-game effort.

Karleigh Murphey put Waynesburg in front, 1-0, with 10 seconds remaining in the first half after she scored from a loose ball in the box.

PAC Defensive Player of the Week Titan freshman Sammy Creese (Mount Airy, MD / Glenelg) scored the equalizer in the 66th minute, her third goal of the season, when she headed the goal off a corner kick from senior Jordan Steele (Falconer, NY / Falconer Central).

The Titans will host Grove City on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. for their Senior Day.
