Alumna Speaks to Accounting Capstone Students

Alumna Danell Harrison Cooper '88, CPA, CMGA, MBA, spoke with Westminster's accounting capstone class, and shared her passion for working as a CPA in the non-profit sector. Harrison is currently the director of finance at KidsVoice, a child advocacy agency in Pittsburgh. 

"Danell's commitment to the missions of the various advocacy organizations for which she has worked provided senior accounting majors with additional considerations as they chart out their career paths," added professor of accounting Jesse Ligo, CPA, MBA.

Harrison earned her BA in Business Administration/Accounting with a concentration in Computer Science from Westminster College and an MBA with a concentration in Management from Duquesne University. She joined KidsVoice in 2014, and has over 20 years of prior experience in auditing and as a controller and chief financial officer in manufacturing and non-profit organizations.
