The Westminster College women's lacrosse team will start its inaugural season on Wednesday, March 29 at Saint Vincent with a game time of 4 p.m.

The Titans have 18 players on their roster, including eight first-years, six sophomores, two juniors, and two seniors.

Westminster has 10 opponents on the schedule for the 2017 season. The Titans open with three Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) road games: at Saint Vincent (March 29), at Hanover (April 1), and at Thomas More (April 2). Westminster’s home opener is slated for Wednesday, April 5 vs. ORLC foe Washington & Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. After its lone non-conference game of the season at Franciscan on Monday, April 10, Westminster plays at Thiel on Wednesday, April 12. The Titans then play three home games: vs. Waynesburg (April 19), vs. Mount St. Joseph (April 22), and vs. Franklin (1:30 p.m.). Westminster concludes the regular season at Transylvania on Saturday, April 29.

"It is of utmost importance that the women's lacrosse program reflects the mission of Westminster,” said first-year head coach Kim Eldridge.  “My goal is to create a motivating subculture where young women feel empowered to reach their fullest potential in the classroom, community, and on the field. I look forward to establishing a foundation of tradition and pride and contributing to the Titan community."
