Six senior art students at Westminster College will display select work from their portfolios from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekdays until May 6 in Patterson Hall's Foster Art Gallery. 

The Senior Art Show features the works of fine art and media art students. In addition to work created during their first three years at Westminster, students also have opportunity to showcase a project created in their senior capstone. The capstone is a senior-level course within the major designed to provide an opportunity for students to work independently with Westminster fine art and media art faculty to assess their cumulative body of work and make appropriate adjustments to prepare a professional art or media art portfolio.

“The greatest strength of this year's show is the diversity of the type of work and disciplines represented by Westminster seniors,” said Kandice Hartner, adjunct faculty for media art + design.

• Matthew Baurle from Jeannette, Pa. is a senior media art + design major, a son of John and Renee Baurle and a graduate of Penn-Trafford High School.
• Karen Coulter from New Wilmington, Pa. is a senior fine art major. She will showcase a series of encaustic work, including family diaries, ephemera, and vintage photographs.
• Maxwell Hague from Canton, Ohio is a senior media art + design major, a son of Kimberly Hague and a graduate of Glenoak High School. He will showcase a poster and advertising series.
• Olivia Martin from Sandy Lake, Pa. is a senior English and fine art major, a daughter of James and Jennifer Martin and a graduate of Lakeview High School. Her showcase features a series of landscapes focusing on the light and moods of Western Pa.
• Justin Shaw from Monaca, Pa. is a senior media art + design major, a son of Robert and Loretta Shaw and a graduate of Central Valley High School.
• Duncan Watt from Pickering, Ontario, is a senior media art + design major, a son of Maria Payne and Brian Watt, North Bay, and a graduate of Dunbarton High School.
