Westminster College’s Concert Choir will accompany David Phelps during his Celebrity Series performance at 7:30 p.m., December 14 in Orr Auditorium. The event is sponsored by Giant Eagle.

Directed by Dr. Samuel Barbara, assistant professor of music, the choir will back Phelps up on holiday favorites, including “O Come, O Come Emanuel,” “The Singer,” “Hallelujah,” “Hark the Herald,” “O Holy Night,” “End of the Beginning,” and “Ghost Town.”

Phelps has been nicknamed “The Voice” because of his vocal range and sang tenor as a member of the Gaither Vocal Band. He has received both Dove and Grammy Awards. As a soloist, he received Dove Award nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Long Form Video for the Christmas DVD, “O Holy Night.”
