Westminster College students have the chance to participate in "Networking 101," an event focusing on proper networking techniques Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center.

"Students often hear that networking is an important way to build contacts to find internships and employment opportunities," said Mary James, Westminster director of alumni relations and young alumni programs. "Networking 101, hosted by the Student Alumni Association, provides an opportunity for students to learn how to network and to begin building their Westminster network through connections with alumni."

The event features an alumni panel including: William M. Hazen, a 1965 graduate and president of Bill Hazen & Associates in Columbus, Ohio; Robert C. Jackson, a 1991 graduate and chief executive officer at United Community Hospital in Grove City; and Joanne Stone Morrissey, a 1969 graduate and president of Firemark Group in Santa Fe, N.M. Approximately eight other alumni, serving as networking contacts, will be available during dessert to chat with students about their areas of expertise.
