Westminster College's COVID-19 dashboard is updated every Monday and indicates the number of people who have tested positive or are probable positive by constituency group. As of August 17, the date on-campus classes resumed, we only report data for individuals who were living, learning, working or volunteering on-campus within 14 days prior to obtaining a positive test result or to receiving confirmation from a health provider that they are probable positive for the virus.
To protect the privacy of all individuals involved, the College will release no details regarding the identity of any persons.
All individuals who who have tested positive or are probable positive are isolating either at home or in a designated campus location and will remain so until cleared to resume normal campus activities.
Contraction of COVID-19 occurs through close contact with an infected person. According to the Lawrence County Health Department, close contact is defined as having been within six feet from a person for more than 15 minutes. Following the College’s reopening plan, the community is notified of positive and probable positive cases and the College appropriately follows up with state and local health authorities.
