WILMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Lawrence County-- Buying Amish produce is an everyday activity in many parts of Lawrence and Mercer Counties, but where do the Amish go when they want to sell to someone outside the area? Many sell their produce at the New Wilmington Produce Auction (NWPA). Amish and non-Amish farmers bring their harvests to this wholesale auction that's located along State Route 208 in Wilmington Township. On every Tuesday and Friday, auction members, wholesalers and other buyers bid on locally grown fruit, vegetables, plants & flowers. more [audio] |
