The County Line

The Mission of The County Line

Each week our broadcasting students team up to create this uniquely local television newsmagazine. We are committed to covering the people, places and issues that matter to our local audience.

We call our show THE COUNTY LINE (TCL) because our view of our local communities is situated along the border between Lawrence and Mercer counties.

Our students produce nearly two dozen original 30 minute editions of TCL each year. TCL airs live on WCN weekdays at 6:30 & 7:30 AM & PM.  New editions hit the air every Tuesday evening.

TCL provides a valuable community service to viewers on Armstrong and Comcast cable systems.  The program also allows Westminster students to gain genuine, hands-on experience as television reporters, producers, directors, interviewers, anchors and other crew positions..

TCL provides an opportunity to cover local human interest stories and community issue often ignored by the commercial television stations in Youngstown and Pittsburgh.

Titantown Sports

Titantown Sports bring you stories, profiles and interviews from Titan sports and local high school athletics..

The County Line Anchor/Reporter Teams

TCL also features anchor/reporters teams made up of our students. They share duties anchoring the show live from the WCN broadcast studios as well as reporting from the field.

They also share many other hats including producing on television and radio.
