The Westminster College Chapter of Mortar Board strives to commend scholarship on our campus, commit members to leadership and promote literacy in the community.

A purpose statement is only a public relations piece unless it guides everything we do as a chapter.  To that end, here is our purpose illustrated through our activities.

• Plans have commenced for recognition of Mortar Board members who maintain or improve upon their cumulative QPAs during the Fall 2003 term.  While admission to Mortar Board is in itself a commendation of scholarship, we feel that those who continue their exemplary scholarship should be further rewarded.  Who knows what we might come up with?!

• We expect Target Chapter members will continue their involvement on Westminster's campus.  To provide additional leadership opportunities, members serve as chairs of service project teams, ranging from short-term events to ongoing activities.

• "Reading Is Leading" projects fufill the third of Mortar Board's three ideals.

Turkey day:
    What a great day is was!  Go here to find out more.

Fun Booth:     
        We created a booth at an all community fundraising athletic event to support breast cancer.  Our booth consisted of pumpkin painting, guess the number feathers in a jar, and pin the goblet on the turkey.  Not that we were plugging Turkey Day.
