  • sheets -- twin size (long length will fit all beds on campus)
  • pillow
  • towels
  • study lamp
  • bath bucket or shower caddy for soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.
  • cable cord (RG6 low loss black coaxial, 12-24 ft.)
  • alarm clock
  • "stuff" to make your new room YOURS: pictures, posters, etc.
  • laundry products (washers and dryers provided -- no charge for using)
  • small trash bags

  • twin-size beds and mattresses (Shaw Hall beds are 75 inches by 36 inches; all others are 80 inches by 36 inches)

What To Leave At Home


  • candles and incense (including candles with wicks removed)
  • strings of lights and high wattage halogen lamps
  • open element appliances, such as toasters, toaster ovens and George Foreman Grills
  • curtains or window dressings
  • safety is also a prime reason for the prohibition of firearms, ammunition, weapons, fireworks, gasoline, flammable materials, and motor vehicles in the halls
