To the Campus Community

We have yet to receive any test results for students tested for the H1N1 virus.

Yesterday we received word from the Department of Health that we are permitted to isolate students who live more than 150 miles from campus in their rooms in the Residence Halls. Ill students in their rooms would be required to wear a mask when others are in the room and to clean common areas in the bathroom they use with antiseptic wipes. Someone ( a friend or Residence Life staff ) would be assigned to be their "flu buddy" and would bring meals to the room.

Thus far today we have had no positive influenza tests and we currently have no students in isolation on campus. We have had reports on a few of the students we isolated or sent home early this week and those students are doing well.
