Meet the Counselor

  
Hi!
My name is Babs Quincy and I have enjoyed being the Counselor at Westminster College since 1998. I completed my undergraduate work in Psychology and Education at Gordon College, Wenham, MA, and earned my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Westminster College in 1985. I have had many years of experience, training and postgraduate studies in the mental health field prior to my current employment at W.C. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, American College Counseling Association and American School Counselors Association.

I have two adult children, Matthew Nickerson, 36, and Christy Nickerson-Little, 34. Both graduated from Westminster with degrees in English. Matty currently coordinates the CIS at Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy West in Baltimore, MD. Christy is a Reading Specialist for Agora Cyber School, living in Volant, PA. with her husband, Brody Little and their son, my grandson, Oliver Quincy Little!

I live in Hermitage, PA with my husband, Thomas Amundsen, who is the Mercer County Controller. Tom and I love being outdoors. We do a lot of canoeing, hiking, organic gardening, biking, jogging and camping. We are also socially and politically active in our community. We have three cats,  Katy and Kenny (named after their rescuers) and Katzie, who showed up one day at our doorstep.
