"Edible Waste" Challenge during Earth Week 4/22 - 4/28
We challenged the students to reduce edible food waste by 25% during Earth Week.
A baseline study was conducted in March that showed an average of just over 2 oz per person of edible food waste was returned to the dish room. Our goal was 1.63 oz per person for the week, we did achieve our goal a few times during the week, but overall the average is still just over 2 oz per person. The nationwide average is 4 oz per person, but here at Westminster College it is 50% less than the national rate.

Our Continental Breakfast Buffet is the perfect way for everyone to start their day; with a wide selection of cereals, Danish pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk and juices. This exhibition cooking station is where our chefs prepare the meal, right before you. International cuisine favorites from the Orient, Italy and Greece just to name a few. Your made to order omelets are whipped up with your favorite ingredients during the weekend brunch. Open Monday - Friday at lunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday for brunch.
The Main Event
The Main Event featuring hot entrees is just like mom's home style cooking. Your favorites may include Carved Virginia Ham, Yankee Pot Roast, Roasted Turkey Breast or Lasagna. Open Monday - Friday at lunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday for brunch.
We'll put our pizza up against any in the area. Whether you're the traditionalist and prefer cheese and pepperoni, or you're looking for the excitement of BBQ Chicken, Chicago Style, Meat Lovers or Mac & Cheese Pizza, you'll find it here. Available Monday - Friday at lunch and dinner.
The Deli offers fresh slicec meats, cheeses, breads and everything else you need to construct your favorite sandwich. A Panini grill is available with daily specials. The Deli is open for lunch, brunch, and dinner.

Looking for soemthing on the lighter side? A combination of handmade soup and freshly topped green salad will satisfy anyone. Available for lunch, brunch, and dinner.
