I am currently interested in examining the effects of environmental toxicants on nervous system development in fish. My main focus is the developing visual system in the zebrafish, Danio rerio.

As well as working on my own research, I am very interested in working with undergraduate students on any project of mutual interest.

Techniques: immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, PCR, Northern blot, Western blot,  microscopy

Animal models: zebrafish, rainbow trout, bluegill, mouse
