Joshua C. Correttte-Bennett
Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Biology
Advisor - Molecular Biology and Biology
Ph.D., Graduate Program of Cell and Molecular Biology (1997)
My area of expertise is molecular genetics and genomics, but I also teach a wide variety of courses for our majors as well as for the Westminster liberal arts curriculum. I serve as co-coordinator of the molecular biology program (along with Dr. Resendes) and I advise both molecular biology and biology majors.
I enjoy being a part of the Westminster experience and serving as a faculty member within this department because our curriculum focuses on experiential learning and student development, while providing faculty with numerous opportunities for growth and exploration. I feel fortunate to have worked with a number of exceptional student scholars who have prsented their research projects at regional and national conferences. Collaborations with colleagues have also been very fruitful, resulting in presentations and publications in the areas of scientific research and teaching pedogogy. I have even had the opportuntiy to travel with faculty and students to places such as the Amazon rain forest and Galapagos Islands.
