The assignments for your journals due on Friday 7th are the following:

Along with your usual journal entries on the classes, grade the student presentations of Monday 3rd. Use the course skills of analysis, comparison, and classification to help your assessment. Please consult the additional materials in the class shared folder on Groupwise and posted to R:/inq101i/workdir.

Submit separately some visual representation of the split-brain excercise from Edwards, "Your Brain: the Right and Left of it" on pages 91 - 94 of the Inquiry I Reader. A purely written description will suffice but is not highly recommended. If you do go this route, attempt to utilize "right-brain" skills of poetry and metaphor as well as "left-brain" skills of description and analysis. Submit this as "username.SBA.doc"

A better approach would be more visual, or better yet, both literary and visual. I recommend using Word97 to produce either a Word document utilizing its various graphical functions, or an HTML document such as could be posted on the class website. Particularly good attempts will be posted to the WorldWideWeb for the appreciation of the whole wide world.

If you decide to make some other kind of visual representation these can be handed to the secretary of the Religion, History, Philosophy, and Classics department before 4pm on Friday.

Remember other journal entries from the last two weeks are also expected.
