WestMONSTER Awards Close Out Titan Terror 4 Project

The Titan Terror Project Showcase and Award Ceremony took place today at 12:45 pm in Mueller Theater in the McKelvey Campus Center on the Westminster College campus, where the top 10 entries were viewed for the first time and the Grand Prize, Runner Up and Audience Choice winners were recognized and rewarded. This event was free and open to the public. Pizza was provided courtesy of Sodexo, and a number of free door prizes were handed out to audience members.

Entries were judged by two rounds of qualified judges on creativity, accordance with the Titan Terror Project theme to make a scary movie without the use of violence or gore, development of story, and production value.

The Grand Prize "Westmonster" award went to Power's Out, by Rob Poling and The Lads Production Team.

"When the power goes out in a Westminster town house, it's up to 4 friends to make sense of things. But when they start hearing noises, and other strange things start happening, it really starts to get serious."

They have been awarded over $528 worth of prizes, including:

  • A Single-Cup Keurig Machine
  • Tuscany gift certificate
  • Springfield gift certificate
  • Crane Room gift certificate
  • A VISA gift card
  • Valentino's Pizza certificate
  • Westminster College "Old Main" lithographed mirror
  • Fractured Grape t-shirt
  • Mugsie's gift certificate
  • Edward's gift certificate

The Runner-Up "Westmonster" award went to Pictures, by Daniel Trotter, and the Bearsharktopus Production team from nearby Grove City High School.

"When awakened by a horrifying nightmare, do whatever it takes to feel safe and sound. However when what we need goes missing, don't expect it to be found."

They have been awarded over $289 worth of prizes, including:
  • Celebrity Series tickets
  • Tuscany gift certificate
  • Gorilla Joe gift certificate
  • Gorilla Joe example t-shirt
  • Pizza Joe's gift certificate
  • Emily Martin Photography gift certificate
  • Valentino's Pizza certificate

The Audience Choice "Westmonster" winner was also Power's Out, by by Rob Poling and The Lads Production Team.. This team was voted on by the live audience at the showcase using immediate audience response clicker technology.

They have been awarded over $200 worth of prizes, including:

  • Tuscany gift certificate
  • Pizza Joe's gift certificate
  • Kailen Feidler ZUMBA gift certificate
  • Nicole Richards Photography prize
  • Tanning package

The rest of the top ten finalists included:

Voting will continue through Halloween night, with the winner earning a $25 gift certificate from the The Crane Room Grille .
